In addition to the requirements of Schedule 2 paragraph 20, where a cold water cistern supplying water for drinking, bathing, washing, cooking and other sanitary purposes, is used to accommodate the expansion of water within a secondary (hot water) system, the expanded water should not raise the temperature of the stored water to more than 25°C in England and Wales, 20°C in Scotland and Northern Ireland.
